Where to buy "Bypass the Line" Ticket to Vatican Museum?

I have read a few posts about the Bypass the Line ticket for the Vatican Museum, but can not find information as to where to buy them. We went with a group two years ago and still had to wait in line with the group to enter. We are going again this spring and are interested in buying a Bypass the Line ticket to avoid the line. I would appreciate any help on this.

We bought such tickets from prestotours.com. We are going to Rome next week, but this company received many good reviews on tripadvisor.com

The bypass the line tickets are as much or more than the cost for a tour, why not just do a tour or arrive in the afternoon when the lines are usually shorter?

The line skippers cost about half the tour cost as I recall. The tour holds little appeal for us. I have read for some time varying reports of the length of the line and decided the extra cost is worth the convenience for us. I'll be an unhappy camper if there is no line when we arrive, but live and learn.

Hi my parents and I just recently used this service this past May to skip the Vatican line. The company we used was Rome Museum, I got the link from users on trip advisor. http://www.rome-museum.com/tickets.htm We booked with them online, they e-mail a confirmation, and then you bring the confirmation with you too a meeting point. They have a map of the meeting point online, and it is easy to find as it is directly opposite the enterence to Vatican. They recommend showing up at least 15 minutes before the time, but we showed up 30 mins and got in even earlier. It did seem a little disorganizaed but they take a big group with the first people who show up and then wait for others who are late. They take you right in through a seperate line, no waiting! Once inside you do have to wait for the tour guide to get the tickets which took about 5 mins. Once you get through check-in the guide will point you in a good direction and you can go off, there is no tour. Overall the company was very good. I would not do a tour as some seem very painful, just sheep being hearded through, plus I don't need to stop and look at something for 20 mins that I may not be interested in.

My husband and I just returned from 2 days in Rome last week. We took the advice from this discussion board and went to the Vatican in the afternoon, around 1 pm. There was no line into security and the ticket line was 10 minutes max. We paid the base ticket price of 14 euro. To us, the timing worked like a charm and the line wait was negligible. We were able to work through the museum at our own pace, then slipped out the side exit from the Sistine Chapel to St. Peter's - also a tip from this forum. We found the tours to be expensive (50 euro!) and even a premium for "skipping the line" would have been too much since the dreaded line was only 10 minutes.

We did a "Skip the line" tour with Presto tours last June. It was easy to book online. But when we got there, we realized that the lines weren't too long, probably a 30-45 minutes wait. By the afternoon the lines were gone. Given the premium we paid for the tickets, I wish we had just stood in line!
