You can also download the Rick Steves Audio Europe app. Go to "find tours & interviews", then "Italy: Venice, Florence, Rome" and download into the app from there into "my playlist" which works offline. You will find other helpful Venice walks for sightseeing.

Download the Rick Steves Audio Europe app (I only know for iPhone). Once you’ve downloaded it, open the app, and there is an option, called “find tours and interviews“ you will find a lot of audio guides he has put together, and then you can download the ones you want within the app, the grand canal, audio tour is there. I know this because I just downloaded it last week. I will be there for a couple of days as the prelude to the Village Italy tour :-)
