Where/how to spend 3 days in mid-March in Treviso region

My wife and I are planning a March trip to Italy, and have allotted 3 days to spend in the Treviso region (after Venice). We will have a rental car. We like wineries, historical sites, walking around small towns and cities, nice restaurants. Not finding a great deal of information from travel books. Any advice would be welcome.

Try searching on the towns/cities of Bassano del Grappa, Asolo, Cittadella, Castelfranco Veneto, and Portogruaro as well as Treviso. Adding a word of two such as itinerary or blog will help you find more interesting websites. Try also https://www.veneto.eu/en , the official Veneto Region tourist website.

On a misty day in September 2019, while staying in Treviso, we drove around in the prosecco hills for fun. We ate lunch at Salis Ristorante Enoteca near Valdobbiadene and drank Cartizze. Our table by the big windows allowed us to look out over the hills where the grapes that made the wine we were drinking were growing in just a few acres of land. The food was great.

As we were leaving, my husband, who speaks Italian quite well, complimented the person at the door, saying among other things that the wine we had for lunch was by far the best Prosecco we had ever had. The man was pleased to hear how much we enjoyed our lunch, but also made a gentle correction that, no, no, no, what we drank was NOT the best Prosecco, it was Cartizze.

Reservations are needed. I'm guessing that the grape vines would be barely beginning to leaf out in March, but the rows of vines will still be beautiful.

Be sure to walk all around Treviso --- it has lots of interesting things to see, including the wire mesh art of Mario Martinelli on some of the walls: https://www.mariomartinelli.it/en/ombre-rete/

It depends on what you like to do but I like Mike's suggestion of Bassano del Grappa and Asolo since you'll have a car.

Bassano has a couple of museums, a castle, it's own Ponte Vecchio Bridge and a wonderful bookstore (Liberia Palazzo Roberti)
I'm a fan of the drink Mezzo e Mezzo. If you happen to be in town on a Thursday morning, it's market day.

Asolo is a lovely small village about 30 minutes from Bassano and we enjoyed spending a couple of hours walking around the town. There are several famous authors who lived there at one time.
