Looking for a B&B and one is advertised as being in Old Rome. I have looked at maps and not sure of what part of the city they are talking about. ??
Thank you
Get an address and use goggle maps to the location. Second, don't know if there is an official definition of "old Rome." But I would call old Rome simply the tourist district with most of the ancient Rome attractions.
I'm just guessing here... Probably our favorite restaurant in Rome (Ate there twice in the 7 dinners we had...) Vecchia Roma Via della Tribuna di Campitelli, 18, 00186 Roma, Italy The name, "Vecchia Roma", translates to "Old Rome" The buildings in this area are seperated by 5 feet or so, I mean the "streets" are 5 feet wide. Too narrow for a car. I would guess it is in this area.
...and I would stay there in a minute. You're close to the Pantheon and Piazza Navrona. It's a good neighborhood in my opinion.
Margaret, I think what you really want to know is whether this B&B is in a part of Rome that you will enjoy. (I've seen lots of places say they're in the "historic center" only to turn out to be on the outskirts on further inspection.) What's the name of the B&B? Or at least tell us their address, and you'll get some helpful opinions on the location. Happy travels.
