Where do you go to get your Colosseum tickets when in Rome?

Hi fellow travellers,

I am not sure of the date I booked for my Colosseum tickets and I don't see it on the printed sheet when I paid online. I bought them from Co op Culture. I am not sure what to do or where to go when I get to Rome. Where do you pick these tickets up?

My email confirmation showed the date and time on it. I did receive two emails, one was just the receipt and the second had all the information.

From the confirmation email:

In order to pick up the tickets please show the following confirmation form at the reservation desk at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time of the visit, except in case of open tickets or different indication given during the purchasing process.

If you choose the delivery method: print@home, attached to this email you will find the tickets in pdf format. Tickets must be printed on A4 paper or, if you have a smartphone with a display of more than 3 inches,
If for some reason the system does not send the pdf tickets, send an email with the payment receipt to etickets@coopulture.it as soon as possible in order to check the status of your reservation.
The print@home option allows to print only full priced tickets.

In case of bookings with reduced and/or free tickets it will be necessary to go to the reservation desk in order to show the documents attesting the right to a reduction and/or to free admission.

Your problem is not knowing that time/day you need to be there so I wouldn't just show up lest you miss your appointed time. I'd try emailing them your receipt and requesting status; tell them you can't see the date/time.

Where you will go to pick up tickets/access the interior - individuals or Stern entrance - depends on what sort of entry ticket or tour you purchased.

Hi Kathy,

I am pretty sure I have figured out the date now and I put in the code number they gave me when I paid, but it comes up with nothing. We leave in 1 day and I don't have the tickets that I already paid for except 1 sheet of paper that shows Unicredit. I went to this site from Rick Steve's page, this is a legit website right?I am not sure what to do. Can anyone help?

Dawn,

With the time difference in Italy, it is best that you get on this right away.

As suggested from the other posters, check the email again to see if there is an attachment or a PDF file.

if you still don't see anything in the email, as suggested, email right away to request your important and necessary information to get into the Colosseum.

Did you check spam just in case? I have a spam filter, but I always check just in case a legitimate email got bounced into spam.

Sorry, which site are you referencing? If it's coopculture, yes that is the official ticketing website for the Colosseum. Joanne provided an email address for ticketing questions above.

If you ordered tickets which could not be printed out at home - as in free children's tickets - or didn't choose the print-at-home option, then you take your receipt to the proper entry for the type of ticket you purchased to pick them up. You do need to know what sort of ticket you have (e.g. ordinary entrance? guided tour?) and not just the day but also the time-slot you're reserved for. Do you know this?

Hi there,

I have been trying to get a hold of them by phone and by email. I have sent a few emails, I never get a response, and the phone is always busy. It is looking like I threw my money away, as I can't get any help in Rome on this. It isn't in a pdf file, it isn't in spam, as I checked everything and we leave the day after tomorrow., I am not sure what else to do. I can't get in contact with them.

Don't despair yet.

Another suggestion - is your browser updated? I don't know if you're using a phone, tablet or desktop. There might be something prohibiting the attachment or pdf to be received?

Some browsers, for some reason, "block" certain things from other countries. Just a thought...

I would take a copy of the email you do have as well as a copy/receipt of your payment on your credit card statement - of course other personal ID info blacked out. (Although, this still won't show what dates you are going. Sorry that didn't help you.)

Keep trying to contact them. I'm not sure when you sent your first email request but they are VERY busy so they don't respond on a dime. :O)

If you do a search here you will see many have had same/similar problem-I was one of them
I received email confirmation and payment confirmation but no tickets attached
I emailed countless times but never got a response
If I recall your payment confirmation(Unicredit) has code on it- 9 or 10 digits? this should be all you need
Although knowing your date and time would be helpful!

You will take that email -print it out- to the reservation only windows
With your back to Colosseo Metro station cross the street and enter the Colosseo complex- the Colosseum will be on your left. Up ahead and To the right under some trees are the Reservation ticket pick up windows
There are dozens of Staff around to help you they are wearing vests that say INFO
I would get in line to pick up tickets at least 30 min in advance of your entry time
We just did all this 2 weeks ago
There were a lot of people in line with same issue so it just appears they haven’t quite worked out the kinks in the system yet

I wouldn’t waste any more time trying to call or email it is unlikely you will ever get a response
Relax you have not wasted your money! It is just frustrating isn’t it?

attached

I think the issue is that she didn't get the separate email confirmation, can't remember what time her tickets are for or for which entrance.

And self-print tickets aren't possible for all bookings, such as tours, so aren't emailed in those cases. Which entrance probably isn't a problem if she knew what type of ticket she has but I'm pretty sure that she does need to know at what time-slot her reservations are for.

I suppose at the very least she could try taking her payment confirmation to the reservation office right away when they get to Rome and see if the staff could pull up a record of exactly what the payment was for based on the code?

Yes true
There was another poster recently who had same issue
No ticket confirmation, no pdf attached
Not sure if that poster has returned and reported her experience

looks like OP does now know the date so worst case goes to ticket window first thing that morning

Hello All,

As I stated I have been trying for weeks to get information about buying the Colosseum tickets but can not contact anyone for the receipt and tickets. I have now found the receipt hidden in junk mail that I never saw originally. Thank-you Kathy and everyone who has tried to help us.

I'm so glad this worked out for you!

Just an FYI:
I always take a screenshot of the finished transaction (desktop or mobile) and save it to my desktop or print it out if needed. If for some reason the email does not arrive or its gets lost at least I have the screenshot of the transaction details that are easy to find and access.
