Hi, we just landed and have been walking around the airport trying to find a Tim card that everyone keeps talking about. I found a currency exchange places that sells voda phone cards. Is this the same thing? It seems a lot more expensive but I just need something that works. Help:)
No, Vodafone is a different company and you shouldn't get SIMs from resellers who ask more money and provide no assistance. There are no TiM stores in MXP, just wait to arrive in Milan.
A quick google reveals that you can buy a VODA there for 30€ which is what I paid for a TIM in Italy. I never have bought SIM cards in an airport, rather in shops in the city where I am starting my trip. So, so buy a SIM in Milan or the city you are heading to .
Ok we are flying to Alghero, Sardinia tomorrow but I need to make sure I can get some type of SIM card because we will be driving in a remote area of Sardinia so I need to be able to use google maps to get me there. We will not be going into Milan because we head out tomorrow meningitis. It sounds like you think I should be able to find a Tim card in Alghero then?
Morning not menangitis ha ha
I don’t have to buy it tonight but just want to make sure I can get it in another city like Alghero. From what Suki said, I’m assuming a Tim card can be purchased in most cities or towns—at least that’s what I’m hoping.
Thank you sooooo much periscope!!!
