Does anyone have insight when the Firenze card will again be available for purchasing? We will be in Florence in May and felt that the card's offerings would be of substantial benefit to our sightseeing plans.
Thank you

Hi vmartinazzi,
Unfortunately, there's no indication when that card will be available again. The best resource for that information is the website for the pass itself, and they've not published any news there. They also said as much to someone who asked that same question on their FB page a month ago. Their advice was, "...that you continue to follow us for updates on the matter and / or contact us a few weeks before your arrival in the city." (translated)

My hunch is that enough museums are requiring timed-entry reservations these days (it's a crowd-reducing COVID thing) to negate one of the previous benefits of the pass: ability to visit during any open museum hours without prior reservations and avoid the ticket lines. Until that complication gets ironed out - and I don't personally see reservations for the most-visited museums going away anytime soon - sales of the pass will probably be stalled. Just a guess, though.
Thanks for your thorough response, Kathy. I appreciate it. I have 8 weeks or so until I am in Florence so maybe something will break in the meantime. Ironically, (ironically?), this is one of the few city cards that made sense for this trip.
Oh gosh, you're so welcome! I've been watching this pass for awhile as you aren't the first to wonder about it, and wish I had better - or at LEAST definitive - news for you. Should it continue to be a no-go as your trip dates get closer, you do have the ticketing sites for the attractions you wish to see? If not, give a shout?
Will mention that some others of the Italy forum posters are having a bit of a time right now with the official website for tickets/reservations for the Uffizi, Accademia and some others. Hope it's temporary but some have had luck using different credit cards or just calling.
Hope you love Florence! I've joked that I'm still searching the mind I lost over all the fabulous Renaissance art!
I appreciate the heads up regarding the websites. They still seem to be problematic so I will be giving them a call the next day they are open. Thanks again.
