My wife and I are going to Italy and France for a month starting mid-April. Considering those dates and the weather I thought it would be wise to fly into Rome and see Southern Italy first then work our way north flying home out of Paris. However, when I learned that the boats on the Amalfi Coast do not begin operating until late April I wonder if we should reverse our plans and fly into Paris and out of Rome. What is your advice?
Are you saying, Steve, that the boats will starting running on April 4th in 2010? If your information is correct and Dennis is not arriving till mid-April, he would be fine according to you.
Steve, I appreciate your quick response. I also was unaware of WikiTravel, which looks very helpful in planning our trip. If the Easter beginning of ferries and other boats around the Amalfi Coast is correct that answers my question. RS' Italy 2010 is where I got the late April starting time and I believe he mentioned that the ferries do not run around the smaller towns until early June. Any thoughts on clarifying this discrepancy?
