Wheelchair transfer needed from FCO to Rome

We can not say enough good things about Rome Cabs. It is a private car service -- not a cab company. We always use them and have always been very pleased. If their vehicles are not equipped to handle wheelchairs, they can probably recommend a service with such vehicles and I would not hesitate to follow their advice. We travel with a wheelchair and have always taken the train from FCO into Rome. There may be a step from the platform into the train, but we have found people very helpful in helping lift the chair up and down. There is plenty of room on the train for wheelchairs and the trip isn't too long. But then, then would probably need a cab from the Rome train station to their hotel, unless it's in walking distance. We always stay near the Pantheon and take the local train to the Trastevere station and then take the tram from Trastevere station to The Lago Argentina stop, which is close to the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. Please note that many streets in Rome are bumpy and that many bathrooms are in the basement- even ones that are marked handicapped.
