search flights on www.kayak.com.
You should look for flights to nearby Venice (VCE), less than 2 hours away, or even farther to Milan (MXP or LIN) as Trieste (TRS) has few flights with major airlines (only Alitalia to Rome or Lufthansa to Munich). Most TRS flights are low cost European airlines.
