We are traveling from Venice to Cinque Terre, not sure what to do in between, we were thinking of Verona, maybe Bologna Modena for the Ferrari dealers any ideas or must sees?
"Must see" depends on your interests, of course. But you can't go wrong with either Verona or Bologna.
MILANO!!!!!! Beautiful Cathedral and can't miss The Last Supper. Be sure to spin on the bull's testicles inside the mall. Brings good luck.
Vicenza, Padova. Down the A4 a short way from Venice.
Shocked and awed no one has mentioned Florence yet! Yes, it's so obvious.....but how can you go wrong in a place with the legacies of Galileo, da Vinci, Michelangelo, Savanarola, Machiavelli, etc?
All of the above places are easy by train from Venice and then to continue on to the CT, either through Genoa or through Florence and then on to La Spezia. I'm not expert on the Ferrari factory but understand it's difficult to get into and you would need to navigate out to it by bus. If Florence is not already on your itinerary, that would be my priority. Probably Verona after that just for its beauty; then Bologna for its covered walkways and its food. Milan would be low on my list because its a congested industrial city, but the Duomo is worth seeing.
