still debating whether to stay in amalfi. Plan is 4-5 nights Sorrento, 3 nights Capri, 3 nights Amalfi, and then 3-4 nights Naples. Seems like all the Amalfi coast tours (both tour of positano, ravello and amalfi as well as island bost coadt tour start from Sorrento. If we do those from Sorrento what day tour could I take leaving from Amalfi? Thank you

I doubt you’ll find any leaving from Amalfi
You can tour the other AC towns yourself-by ferry or bus

I don't see the need for any tours either: the coast is easily explored on one's own by ferry and/or local bus with some reading up in advance. If you plan to do Pompeii (and I'd do it from Sorrento vis Circumvesuviana commuter train) you may want a guided tour of that one.
An "island" boat tour isn't necessary from Sorrento or Amalfi; you can book scenic tours around Capri if you're staying on the island.
