I'm visiting Rome during the middle of September. What are the best outfits especially when touring during the day?
We were in Rome many years ago in September and it was still very hot. Averages on weather.com put Sept as still being in the 80's, which is hot for me. I like lightweight summer skirts (below knee) & light capris with tank tops and light shirt to put on top for churches or short sleeve lightweight tops. I brought walking sandals and they were great with the skirts and helped me to stay cool. If you think you will be cool at night then a light sweater will probably be enough.
Yes, it is HOT in Rome in September. Shorts if you feel comfortable in them; except the Catholic sights.
If you use GOOD JUDGMENT and watch what others are wearing you cant go wrong.
Check out weatherunderground.com. On the home page there is a tab for trip planner. Select the tab and you will go to a screen that allows you to enter a city and dates of travel. It will then give you a history of high and low temperatures, rain and other weather info for the last 10 years or so.
