I thought this Revealed Rome blog entry really nailed it on two topics that come up often here. That is the best summary I have read in a long time. Need to bookmark for envy question asked on this subject. Consistent with the phrase that I often post - You cannot avoid looking like a tourist. Just don't look like a stupid American tourist. She stated it a little softer.
