I, Mrs Francis will be in Milan from 1/7/2013 to 5/7/2013 . I would like to go sight seeing only in Milan but would not like to see museums and art gallery. I would like to travel by metro. I will be staying in San donato. PLease also explain how do i reach the place which u suggest by metro from sandonato

One of my favorite places in Milan is the roof of the cathedral. You take an elevator up to the top and exit onto the beautiful roof. You can see the carvings and gargoyles up close and enjoy spectacular views of the city. One of my favorite things to do in Europe!

If you like fashion and elegant architecture, stroll the fashion district in Milan, to admire both the window displays and the people. Some of the best streets are Via Montenapoleone, Via Sant'Andrea, Via Della Spiga and Via Manzoni, and there are some beautiful mansions in Via Bigli and Via Gesù. Also, the glass-topped shopping arcade 'Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II', just near the Duomo, is beautiful to browse and shop in and there are cafés and restaurants.
