What time for flight from FCO to Heathrow after noon Angelus?

We’re from the US. Spending a week in Rome before flying from FCO to Heathrow for a couple of days in London. We want to attend the Angelus at noon on June 29 (I know this is normally on Sundays, but it’s Saturday because of the Solemnity). This lasts about 20 minutes, but I’m not sure how long it would take us to navigate the crowds afterwards. Our luggage will be at an AirBnB about a 15 min walk from St. Peter’s. We would take a cab to the airport. Would we have time to comfortably make a 5:20 pm flight from FCO to Heathrow? The other option is a 9 pm flight, but I’d rather get to Heathrow earlier. On the other hand, I’m a worrier, lol.

Barring some horrendous traffic accident/jam, you should be able to leave your lodging by 1 and be to FCO by 2, which is plenty of time.

This assumes your bags are packed and ready for a 'grab n go' when you get back to the BnB after the Angelus

Thank you! I thought so, but needed to hear it from an experienced traveler!
