What time do check in desks open at Milan Linate airport?

I’m traveling with a friend and they’re insisting on arriving at LIN at 3:30 for a 6:40AM flight. I imagine the airport is small and this is overkill. Will they be waiting around a long time or will the check in desks be open and able to check in and go through security when they arrive? I’m just a little concerned for their safety is all. Thank you.

If it's a regional ariline-Easyjet, ect, check in normally only opens an hour before flight time so wouldn't arrive earlier than 90 minutes.

It is with KLM and it would be going to another country, so perhaps a little earlier?

Linate is the regional airport, you're probably connecting to another destination around Europe from there. I believe the desks open either 5 or, 5:30 AM.
You'll get there at O-dark-thiry and half the morning flight's passengers are all lined up at the desks waiting for security and airline staff to finish their morning cafe and start work.

If it’s at 0640 you are flying to AMS with KLM therefore Schengen zone (basically a domestic flight, not really another country since there is no passport controls between Schengen Zone States).. Be at the check in desk at 05:10 and you will so more than fine.
