What is the cost of water taxis or bus from Giudecca to main venice areas?

Hi there, I am staying in Hilton Molino Stucky Venice this September.
What are the fares of water taxi or bus from Giudecca to main Venice areas?
Is it easy access to get to the taxi or bus from the hotel and from the taxi to the main areas in Venice?
Thanks!

We were at the Hilton Molino Stucky for two days when it opened on June 1 of this year. What a hotel. The Hilton has 2 private water taxis that stop at the Zattere vaporetto stop just across the canal and just to the right of the San Zaccaria Pieta vaporetto stop (near San Marco). During most hours of the day, this shuttle leaves every 30 minutes. It drops to once an hour after 8:00pm or so. If you are coming into the Venezia Santa Lucia train station, you can catch the 41, 42 or the 82 (express, sort of) vaporetto and get off at the Palanca stop. It's slightly less than a 1/4 mile walk to the hotel. You will cross one canal just before the hotel. Don't get off at the Sant'Eufemia stop. It looks closer but it's a 2km walk around to get to the hotel. Also, you will not see "Hilton" on the building. You will see "Molino Stucky" high on the side of the building. A water taxi is 80 Euro and up. You will not be disappointed with the hotel. Message back for more instructions.

Thanks Larry. This is a big help. Are the hilton private water taxis free, or are they for 80 euros too..

I might have some questions soon on Hilton, I will write them out soon.

Thanks!

The Hilton water taxis are free. They are courtesy boat shuttles. Both taxis have the Hilton logo on them. There's a private dock in front of the Hilton where you leave and arrive. It would be neat if they went to the train station but wait until you see the vaporetto stops at the train station. There's a lot of them and there doesn't seem to be any provisions for private craft.

Send me a private message or email me at abrlarry@abrconsulting.com. We dined at both of their restaurants and we stayed in suite on the exectutive floor (I'm a Hilton Diamond member). We used our Hilton points for this stay. It was great. Larry

Larry,
We're planning to take a cruise out of Venice next June. The water taxi from the airport is 100 Euros. I'm assuming that's per person -- any idea on that? Also, any thoughts on how difficult it would be to get from the Hilton Stucky to some type of transportation to take you to the port? I've been to Venice but I'm unsure of how difficult it would be to get from the island (hotel) to the Venice port. Many thanks.

Chris, first, you will need to know at which terminal your ship is berthed. There are two. Second, the water taxi is the most expensive way to go from the airport to the cruise terminal. It is indeed about 100 Euro. Note that this fare is not per person. You can take the airport bus for 3 Euro each to Piazzale Roma which is a stop within walking distance of the cruise terminal. If you don't want to walk, there is a short bus run to take you to the ship dock. Here's a LINK to information on the bus. You can also take Blue Line Vaporetto from the airport to the same place. Check out www.alilaguna.it. Or, you can take a 20-minute taxi ride (in a car) to the same place. By the way, when you leave Venice, your ship will be towed down the Giudecca Canal, just past the end of the grand canal and finally by Lido. Very scenic

I paid little attention to the concept that cruise ships now stop at venice until this June when I walked out from between the row of buildings, onto the 'waterfront' by the Arsenale vaporetto stop, and here is this MOUNTAIN of a cruise ship progressing slowly down the waterway. Kind of dwarfed poor little Venice!
