What is the best way to get from Reggello (FL) to Sorrento?

Looking for suggestions. We will be staying at Hotel Villa Il Crocicchio in Reggello and we want to go to Sorrento. Is it best to go to Florence and take the train - is there a train to Sorrento? Any suggestions of wineries and thing to see around Reggello.

Thanks,
Robert

If you have a rental car you will enjoy your stay in a small town like Reggello much more. The closest train stations are at Figline or Sant'Ellero, which are not major stations. To reach them you need the ACV buses. With a car you'll have more flexibility and save time to go to places.
If you do rent a car (recommended), the easiest way to Sorrento is to drive there. If, once in Sorrento, you don't want the car anymore, you can return it in Sorrento.
By train is a long trek. First you need to go to Fligline station, then make your way to Rome and then to Naples. In Naples you then take a Circumvesuviana train to Sorrento.

Thank you for your suggestion. We are going to travel from Cinque Terre to Reggello. Do you know if it would be better to get the car in Cinque Terre and then drive to Reggello and then drive to Sorrento and leave the car in Sorrento. There are 7 of us traveling together. We will need to rent two cars. I think it would be difficult to get a van. I will do some research. Thank you again.

The fastest way is backtracking to Florence and boarding a fast train Florence to Naples. In Naples you switch to a Circumvesuviana train. As fast trains travel twice as fast as car, there is no faster way - doing by regional trains Figline to Roma may take forever. If you prefer a car, you have the convenience of not having to do multiple changes but is a long drive.
