What is the best prosciutto, balsamic vinegar, and cheese tour in the Bologna, Modena, Parma areas?
The one I do, of course! :-D
Is a very personal feeling of course, but a private and relaxing tour is of course a very very good solution.
But I can strongly recommend the following from our trip last April. Truly a GREAT day!

A truly FULL day with great experiences and people. BTW I am not yet hungry, it has been a year!
Italian Days is the tour you want. The order is cheese, vinegar, prosciutto and then a giant lunch (you will have been snacking throughout the tour though, no worries).
I have done both the Italian Days tour and one with a private guide. For the money, the Italian Days tour gives you everything - guide, transportation and the wonderful experiences. And so much to eat,
When I used the private guide, we did not have lunch at the end and it was a perfect half day tour.
If you use a private guide for this, you will have to get a driver or use your rental car. Also, we could structure it exactly as we wanted
Be sure to buy some Parmigiano-Reggiano to bring home - it is vacuum sealed and will last for months until you open it. We just used our last piece from our October visit.
