What is Republic Day like in Italy?

I will be traveling in Italy on Republic Day and would be interested in getting a sense of what it is like? I expect there will be some closings, such as museums, and different transit schedules. Do more places close outside of the main cities? I'll be in Positano on the 2nd, and if anyone has specific experience there or elsewhere on the Amalfi Coast it would be especially helpful. I wanted to see if it will be either all shut down, or overwhelmed with people taking advantage of the holiday. Thanks in advance for any guidance!

The major archaeological sites and museums will be open, unless it is their normal closing day, as will shops/cafes/restos etc. It is not such a big deal as Liberation Day at the end of April and May1. If the weather is good there will be plenty of visitors from Naples driving out for the weekend.
