Hi everyone, I'm looking at hotel rooms in Bologna near the train station and have noticed that a couple of them offer "French" hotel rooms. What is the difference between this and a single? Thanks! Kelly

In my experience, a French 'bed' would be a type of double bed - an American-sized double bed, or smaller (more like a large twin bed, in some cases). If that's the case, I'd ask them to send you the actual size in cm...Comfy for one, may or may not be comfy for two...depending on the size of their particular beds.
