What if recommended hotel in Florence booked?

Hi Fellow Travelers! We were hoping to be able to stay in the recommended hotel (Dali) and they are all full up for the date we are going to be in Florence (May). Some of the pluses were over-night available parking, central location and lots of charm for little $$. Other suggestions?

We stayed at Hotel Johlea last May for around 90 euros per night. They have two small hotels side by side. Breakfast is included--charming rooms and they all are different. I think they can arrange parking for you--we did not have a car and one time driving in Florence was enough for us--never again!

Since everyone is recommending their favorite place I guess I'll throw mine in the ring, too. Residenza Il Villino is rated #4 on TripAdvisor, and I definitely know why. It was a great little place and like being at home. Sergio and Elizabetta are like family. It was also one of the cheapest places we found which was another added bonus.

I hope you are not planning to drive into or out of Florence; you surely will suffer the fate of many others, and end up with many $$$$$$ in ZTL fines in a year or so.

I believe that Hotel David is outside the restricted zone. They have on-site parking. That is why I mentioned it at the outset.
