What if rain where we should go?

I am planning to leave tomorrow to Rome for 4 nights, Florence for 3 nights and Venice for 4 nights. I know I will have a great time but I need your advice what if rain then where should we go while it is raining?

I booked Vatican that is no problem with rain :)
I haven't booked train for Cinque Terre and Appian Way because I have to check with the weather.

Any indoor location that appeals to you to wait out the rain - cafes, museums, churches, shops, etc. Have some places, especially museums, in mind in each city as a backup plan. Or just carry and umbrella and don't let the rain deter you.

It rained one day while we were in Rome, we stuck with our plan for the day which was sightseeing, Le Domus Romane di Palazzo Valentini and a night food tour, pouring rain the whole time...purchased roasted chestnuts from a street vendor, popped in some stores, sat at an outdoor café and enjoyed cappuccinos while it rained, very memorable. If your in a tourist area there will be people selling umbrellas.

Weather looks perfect until Sunday, June 19th when rain's expected. That's on Weather.com.

I watch the weather forecast online whenever I'm traveling. And if it rains, so what. Bring out the umbrellas and keep on truckin'.

By the morning of the actual day, I've found weather.com to give a pretty reliable forecast of how long the rain will actually last. But now I've probably jinxed it.

This time of year rain comes mostly in convective afternoon showers, sometimes light, occasionally heavy, but usually only of short duration. Duck into an out-of-the way church to wait it out, or just enjoy the cool-down from the hot weather and take advantage of the variety for interesting photographs.

Head for a shop where you can buy a decent rain jacket then enjoy the rain. Some of my more memorable travel days were rain days.

The best thing one can do when it's raining is to let it rain.

And: Thy fate is the common fate of all; Into each life some rain must fall.

[Henry Wadsworth Longfellow]
