Elizabeth Minichelli's App EAT ROME and also has a blog. She had food Apps for other places in Italy too.
and another App, Katie Parla's Rome

A good and useful site is Martha's Italy. https://www.marthasitaly.com/ She used to write the Italy articles for About.com and is really good for ideas on what to visit and how to buy tickets. It covers the whole peninsula. Also seen on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/ItalyMartha/ Also good is an associated website by James Martin: www.wanderingitaly.com
