I don't have a question, just a short comment. We returned in mid march from a 2 week stay in Italy, with my parents, and what a trip. Italy just keeps getting better every time we go. This trip was to attend the wedding of an Italian friend we met on our last trip. What an experience!!! We came away with such memories, and an even closer friendship. How can you put a value on that! BUt I digress. Thanks to everyone on this board who shares their time and knowledge for those of us just beginning our traveling career. Your information is so helpful, and really can make the difference between a flop, something we could have only dreamed of! If you ever get the chance to attend an Italian wedding, please do so. It is such a great experience, and a great window into real Italian life. Thanks again guys and gals for all the help. With your help, we now have wonderful friends that we will spend a lifetime getting to know.

What a great post. We, too, became friends with the owners of a b&b in San Gimingnano on our first trip to Italy. Since then, our new friends have visited us twice here in the US. We have been invited to the wedding of one of the owners in September. She is being married in a castle in Chianti. We are so looking forward to this occasion. If you read Rick's recent Travel News, he talks about Italy and the friendliness of the Italian people and their desire to make connections. It is so true. As long as I am able to make a yearly trip to Italy, I am a happy camper.
I also appreciate the advice of the many people on this board. The advice is usually very good.
