I am sure this topic has been dissected a zillion times, but not sure if it is viewed from a different perspective.
Most of the reviewers recommend east side of the lake (i.e., west facing rooms), probably for optimal sunset and sun-bathing perspective.
However, I read that most Italian hotels hard-set the lowest air-conditioning temperature to 75 degree F (23.5 degree Celsius). It doesn't mean the room would stay at that temperature all day, as the west-facing rooms (lake view rooms) during the summer would be baking due to afternoon sun's radiation.
It could take a while to cool down the room. If windows are opened, then we may need to deal with mosquitoes issue.
Therefore, isn't that East facing room type better, from sleep quality / comfort perspective?
Any idea and suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
