I'm planning a civil ceremony in Tuscany. Do I absolutely need a wedding planner? I have a very tight budget. Also, any suggestions or advice from anyone who has gotten married in Tuscany or anywhere in Italy? There will also be about 22 guests in attendance. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!
This question has been discussed maybe half a dozen times in the last couple of years and those discussions have revealed that the first thing to clarify, so that better advice can be given to you, is: By "civil ceremony" do you mean you're going to get legally married in the US and then go to Italy for some kind of confirmation ceremony that does not need to have legal effect? Or are you seeking a legally effective marriage in Italy? And here's a link to more postings from people who have been through this:Getting Married in Europe
Forgive my impudence, but I absolutely do not understand why questions about getting married in Italy (or France or on the other side of the moon) keep appearing on a travel website. Surely, SURELY, there is a website on this specific subject.
