Really appreciate your input. We are going to a wedding in SPOLETO in mid June. In Umbria for a week (travel plans taken care of with wedding guests). Need help for 11 days thereafter. Been to Florence, Tuscany including Pisa, Luca, Sienna and wine route.
Hope to see Rome and Venice (leaving from). Should we go to Naples, Pompeii, Amalfi Coast and also head north, possibly including Padua, Vincenza, Verona, or too much? Thanks!!!

You will get plenty of info here but can you give us a little more information about your interests on this trip. From Spoleto, Assisi is just a couple train stops away. It's an amazing place to spend a couple of days. From there you could head south to Rome and catch the Freccia train to Naples which puts Pompeii, Sorrento, Capri and the Amalfi Coast within easy reach. But plan at least a full day for each location - and that is cutting it close. Rome needs as much time as you can give it - a week is not too much! If you are leaving from Venice, I would suggest at least 3 or 4 nights there. Hmmm, I think you've run out of the 11 extra days you have! What do you want to see/do? Prioritize your list and see what amount of time you end up with. As much as I love Sorrento, maybe Naples and south could wait for another trip? The Freccia line from Rome to Venice is very easy to do. Besides Venice you have access to Padova and Verona (opera fans? check out the opera festival at the Arena di Verona). Remember that packing and unpacking, moving to city to city take time and energy. That will cut into your enjoyment. Have fun!
