We are wanting to plan a wedding in Sicily (where my fiance is from). We are in our early-mid 20's so we are looking to stay as inexpensive as possible. It would be very small possibly just the two of us even. Does anyone have suggestions of planners in that area or where to start?? Is it something we can even accomplish without a planner?
Thanks!
Here is a link that hopefully will get you started:

Also, you can retrieve other discussions on this site of getting married in Europe, using the search box in the upper right corner of this page, for example search on "weddings". Good luck!
Rachel, our favorite town in Sicily was the same as RS's...Cefalu, on the north coast. Not terribly expensive, but gorgeous and charming.
Cefalu is small enough to be walkable; there is a beautiful beach right there; the cathedral is old and would be an option for a wedding (providing that you are the right religion). Rick Steves tours stayed there in 2005; I don't remember which hotel. You might consider an agriturismo as a place for a reception and rooms for guests.
Try this site as it has just about everything you need to know...

If your man is from there, I would think that you would have a huge advantage in making these plans. Have the future in laws been consulted?
