Are there webcams set up in prominent tourist areas in Italy? If so, what is the email address to accesss these pictures?

I assume you mean url, not e-mail address. In any event, type "italy sights webcams" into Google, and you should find some.

There are several, as the previous poster said, just google "webcam italy" and you will find them. Choose what suits you best for your viewing pleasure.
I'm looking at Rome and Sorrento through webcams, it's fun!
There is also one in Venice, but it doesn't refresh by itself.
