Weather-related travel disruptions - Sorrento area

Im reading about the heavy rain that caused damage in parts of Italy. Family members will arrive in Rome and travel to Sorrento this Monday, so I'm looking for up-to-date information about any storm-related travel problems. If anyone can help, I'd like to know if the trains between Rome and Sorrento are running normally. Is the coastal road that runs around the peninsula re-opened and are the SITA buses running? Are the ferries around the peninsula and to Capri running? Finally, are Pompeii Scavi and Herculanium open? Thanks in advance for your help.

Am in Sorrento at the moment and AFAIK the only weather related problem is the closure of the road from Piano di Sorrento to Positano which has meant the suspension of the normal Amalfi Coast bus route from Sorrento. There are only 2 buses a day from Sorrento to Amalfi, one in the morning and one in the afteroon. The route is the inland one and the advice I have been given says it could take 2 hours plus each way. That is always supposing you could get on the bus. However, it may be that by next week the problems will have been sorted and normal service resumed. Fingers crossed!! The only boats leaving Sorrento at the moment are for Capri and Naples ie the normal year round services. The tourist services to the Amalfi Coast have ended, as is usual for this time of year.
