Did you wind up going to Venice in 2023? I'd say pant's-wise the same advice would apply as to your 2022 thread on clothing.

For sure a waterproof jacket with a hood but I take that anywhere I travel in Europe in any season. I also usually wind up needing an umbrella in Italy. Always leave it out of the suitcase because I decide it's too heavy, then wind up buying one.

I'd need SS shirts with a LS topper in case it is cool. I'm pretty cold tolerant and you may be too since you are from Denver? I wear athletic shoes for all my trips but I have terrible feet and need to keep them in good shape. I wear Altra Zero Drop shoes which are from a company based, I think, in Boulder.

Pam, Yes, I spent 8 days in Venice, 2 in Ravenna, and 8 in Paris. I actually was too long in Venice, as many people said, but Paris, always too short. Now my friend is going with me and we're doing smaller places in France although I think we may still do Paris for a few days, especially since she's never been to France. Florence has always been one of my favorite places, and my friend hasn't been to Italy either, so that's a must. We are going to skip Rome. Too many people and I have been there a few times years ago, but I would like to see some smaller places, the more unique, the better. Any suggestions?

I guess it is somewhat the same timing as my last trip, although Italy was earlier in April, and we will be a little further south. I was quite lucky before. It only sprinkled a little a couple of times, in Venice. It sprinkled all day in Ravenna. I didn't see any hard rain the whole trip..

Pam. I went to Venice and Paris in 22. I didn't go anywhere in 23. We were thinking about it, but didn't make it.

You can find the weather averages online, but I’d check just before leaving since it’s hard to forecast over a week ahead.
