I will be in Sorrento for a week near the end of June. What is the typical weather at that time of year? Is it very humid?

I'm guessing it will be very hot. Not sure about the humidity though. We just got back from Italy and were in Sorrento last week and it was 85 degrees and sunny and it's only May. It could have been an abnormal week but I can imagine it would be similar in June. We didn't notice any humidity.

We were there 3 years ago in mid-July and it was quite hot but not so bad that I have horrible memories of the heat. Can't remember the temp. but we slept very well at night. Stayed at Hotel Settimo Cielo (7th heaven) located on Via Capo. Had a balcony overlooking Marina Grande and the Bay of Naples. Stunning views! They also had a beautiful pool on top of the bldg. overlooking the bay. Would definitely stay here again!

I just returned from a 14 day trip in Italy and Switzerland. I was in Sorrento 4 days ago and it was HOT (85-90) AND HUMID. I was sweating almost constantly and needed to go swimming to cool off. The circumvesuviana was over-crowded and hot and an italian teenager passed out on the train (lucky for him, I am a nurse). I wouldn't even consider wearing pants-bring shorts or a dress and a bathig suit. On a second note, there is a great store called Fattoria TerraNova in the main piazza, near where the men have the horse and carriage rides. The store has homemade gifts, olive oil, wine and condiments with great prices. I spent over $100....
