Weather in Rome in August

We are planning on traveling to Rome on August 17 for our honeymoon. We have heard various opinions on traveling Rome at this time due to heat. Where we live it is often 110 degrees and humid in August. Can I please get some opinions on whether it is worth it to visit Rome at this time?

Rome is always worth the trip to me - August can be very warm in Central Italy but as you said you are accustom to it, go for it

If you can handle Indio in the summer, surely you can handle Rome!!!
