Weather in November

I will be on the RS Venice Florence, Rome tour in the first half of November. What type of weather should I plan for? I'm not worried about wet weather - will just purchase an umbrella. But the temperature in each city . . . what is typical for these cities in November? Thanks in advance.

We were in Tuscany last November. The temperatures were warmer than I expected. You'll be fine with a sweater or light jacket unless you're cold natured. There were two mornings where there was a little frost. Towards the end of the week, the week before Christmas week, we had brilliant sunshine with highs in the upper 50's to low 60's. Even though it's not that much further south, Rome will be noticeably warmer than Florence.

The greatest floods of Florence were on:
4 November 1333
3 November 1844
4 November 1966
The highest flood in history in Venice with high water at 1.94 mt (6ft 4in) above ground was also on 4 November 1966.
Yes, bringing a traveling umbrella would not be a bad idea. Hopefully you won't need waders.
Generally not too cold however, but it is best to check the weather forecast the day before you travel so that you have a reliable forecast for the following 10 days.
