I found a link that says train is cancelled. How do I proceed? Can we go anywhere that day, meaning are the regional trains to cinque terra cancelled? Can I get my Pisa tickets refunded to use on a different day? It is Friday night here and the strike happens tomorrow night. Will we be stuck in the cinque terra if we can't get a train back before 9 pm?

If you're in La Spezia now, go to the train station to confirm the plan. They should either exchange the ticket or confirm that you can use it on another service of the same type.

I have just solved our cancelled train. We are a 10 minute walk to the train station so I headed up and exchanged our tickets for a guaranteed train for 2.40 euro more. We were able to get help right before closing with a person who spoke some English. Very nice.
