Anybody ever use waytostay.com to rent apartments in Italy or anywhere else? Anything to say about the experience?
I cannot say anything about that service, but I did use cross-pollinate.com and found the cancellation fees to be very generous, and there was even insurance you could buy for 10 Euros/reservation in case you did not arrive for the first night, etc. your entire stay minus the small deposit would be refunded, no problem at all. I would highly recommend them, we stayed at 3 properties in May, 2 in Rome and 1 in Venice.
Two years ago I used them for booking an apartment in Amsterdam, and everything went very well. The apartment was great, the transactions clean and good, and we were very pleased.
