What's the transit time for a private water taxi to the Venice airport? We've never been to that airport. Any recommendations on how much time give prior to departure?

30 minutes or less depending on where your hotel or accommodation is. We took the water taxi both ways between the airport and our hotel just a few weeks ago.

As I recall they will set your pick up time when you book
They will ask for flight time, etc

If you’re asking how much time you need at the airport prior to your flight, I’d say the usual 2 hours for a flight to somewhere in Europe, and 3 hours if your flight is international.

like others said it's about 30 to 45 minutes depending where your hotel is and where they pick you up.
great way to get to and from the airport.
your can order tickets online
venicelink.com has a shared shuttle.
put in your info, pick one of the stops listed, flight info. you probably will have a wait time for others that are sharing shuttle. yes it's less expensive per person but it's the wait time and how many stops will take longer

set price and pick you up where best for you. put in info and price comes up.
we have used them 3 times round trip with our gang, so so worth it
