I am traveling next month and would like to include the cable car ride from France to Italy. Read that Hel Bronner is not open for passage. Can anyone clarify this for me. Thanks!!

Last year I read that the cable car was closed for renovation. I just checked the official Chamonix site and found no reference to it. That suggests that the renovation is still in progress.

That connection is closed for renovations until 2015.
