I'm considering booking the evening Colesseum tour and the two Vatican express tour through Walks of Italy? Anyone have experience with tweens/young teens on one of their tours?

Why not just book the official night time colosseum tour? It's very good and will not cost nearly as much.

I haven't done their tour through the Vatican museums but again, the official site offers guided tours. This one is geared for the younger kids:
