If all you were doing was going from A to B probably about 25 - 30 minutes. However, it could take you anywhere from an hour to all day, depending on what catches your fancy along the way.

Ron is correct. You can walk to the Rialto bridge area and then pick up one of the most fabulous shopping walks on the planet from the Rialto bridge to the San Marco clock tower. All kinds of major and other shops along the walk. You could break your budget on the walk as well.

Thanks, I agree we could break the bank. Will probably walk from San Marco back to the Rialto bridge and then to the Jewish Ghetto and from there to the train. Will most likely have about 5 hours to do all of it. If not enough time let me know.

Ron, if you will give us a bit more info, I think we could give you some specific suggestions. What are you trying to accomplish? Will you have just five hours for your whole time in Venice? What is the time frame? Morning, afternoon, over lunch?

Arriving on a train from Abano Terme about 10Am and leaving on train at about 7PM and will back the next day at noon to board ship which will stay until the following morning.
