walking tours vrs. individual tickets for museums in Fierenze

We will be saying in Montecatini and either bussing or training into Fierenze in May on a daily basis. Any advice on purchasing tickets to Uffizi, Academie, Pitti, etc. Has anyone used the walking tours? If so, are the extra fees worth the extra Euros?

Avoid the long lines at Uffizi by getting a reservation at least one month in advance. Rick explains how in his book. Also reserve ahead for David.
