We are planning our first visit to Italy and thinking of taking a walking tour in Tuscany along with a visit to Florence and Venice. Has anyone used a company they would recommend?

I have walked a lot with HF Holidays - a british company and specializes in the UK......but they do have several walking trips all over Europe.

I recommend Walk About Tuscany (www.walkabouttuscany.com) set up by Gianni who has a PhD in geology. I took a most enjoyable walk with him through the vineyards last year. He's knowledgeable, professional, and well-reviewed in Tripadvisor. He offers a few trails: nature, medieval, wine, San Gimignano, etc.
