We will be staying a week in Montespertoli in the middle of April. I know there are trails through the area and wineries to visit, but I am having a heck of a time finding any sort of map. I'd prefer a do it yourself sort of map instead of an actual guided tour. Any suggestions appreciated.
You might browse through the tourism websites for the town to see if there are any suggested walks, or links to the local Tourist Info office that you could email about maps.

I just received my order of 3 Kompass HeRt of Tuscany” 1:50,000 maps that I bought for walking near Siena. I will see if these show any paths or trails around Montespertoli.
I also have a Cicerone Guide, “Walking in Tuscany,” that I can check for you.
I did see both of those sites but no maps. A good idea to contact them directly though. Thanks!
Ok, the closest walk in the book is from San Gimiginano. Montespertoli is on my maps, but the scale is too small to be useful. You could get a better idea from Google maps, satellite view.
You might try contacting this wine consortium to see if they have a map.
Here you can find a very detailed map of the trails in Tuscany: http://www502.regione.toscana.it/geoscopio/sentieristica.html . Are the ones done and kept by the CAI, the Alpine Club on Italy. Unfortunately there aren't CAI trails around Montespertoli, but if you zoon-in very much this map is incredibly detailed and report all the secondary streets, paths, trails... so you can check if there is a route to reach walking the place you want. You must be used to topographic technical maps.
For mobile I use sometimes Locus Map, usually well detailed for trails.
