Walking from Siena to Rome

Hello,
Mid May I will be traveling to Florence from USA to join a friend in Siena. Before I meet with her, I will spend one and a half day in Florence. Should I spend my day there, or take a day trip to Cinquee Terre?
Thanks in advance for responds..

Well, sorry about that. The main purpose of my trip is to walk from Siena to Rome with a friend. However, before I meet with her, I will have 2 nights in Florence, i was wondering, whether I should spend that time in Florence or take a day trip to Cinquee Terre.:) bothh are very appealing to me, but I do not have enough time for both.

Visit Florence. You will still be adjusting. Getting to CT will be long and complicated.

CT is postcard pretty, but there's not a lot beyond the scenery. Florence has far more to offer.

JC,

They're doing the Pilgrims trail the Via Francigena similar to the Camino in Spain.

Sunaed , are you doing this on your own or with a group?
