Walgreens type stores in Venice.

Help! My boyfriend left his boxers stateside and we just got to Venice this morning. Are there any stores near Piazelle Roma we could pick up a few packages of like Hanes?

You might try the Nike store just across the Ponte della Constituzione toward the train station.

There is (was) a multi-story department store near the east end of the Rialto Bridge when we were there a few years ago. Ask at your hotel. Other shops are pretty small, and you may not find one with the combination of things that a Walgreens usually has.

This is your opportunity to help your boyfriend with Italian style. Walgreens? Forget about it. Nike? Not even close. You are in Italy....When in Rome?….you know what I mean.....

Here's the ticket: Giorgio Armani, Calle Larga XXII Marzo, 2282, 30124 Venezia VE, Italy

He will thank you.

There is a new luxury department store with interiors by Rem Koolhaas which would be worth a visit just to see it.

My husband forgot his boxers when we went to Spain so we hit El Corte Ingles in Barcelona. He found some by a company named Dustin which were so nice (good fabric, nice trim fit) he has asked our family members who are in Spain to buy him more. We will be back in Barcelona in May so will return for another 3-pack.

There are no stores like Walgreens, but you should be able to buy what you need in a small mens shop.

There's an H&M location (Swedish Gap) in-between Rialto bridge and St.Marks Square. That's where I've gone for 'I forgot clothing' needs that won't break the wallet.

There's a couple of Zara's (Spanish Banana Republic) in Venice, one below is near you. The other is near St.Marks Square.

T Fondaco Dei Tedeschi is the department store adjacent to Rialto Bridge. It's on the premium side, much like a lot of the apparel retailers in Venice.

Once you get back home would be the perfect time for both of you to do packing lists - what you wore, what worked, what didn't and what someone forgot to pack! I'd not mention it until you've recovered from jet lag back home - or on the plane back, lol!!

I do mine in Excel.

Hope you are having a great time!
