Volume discounts for trains

I searched past posts on the Forum but found no answer to whether Trenitalia offers discounts based on two people buying MANY tickets at once. We will take 15-20 day-trips from our base locations and will know the date and time of our round trips well in advance. I'm guessing the answer is no, but thought I'd see if anyone knows about bargains for buying "in bulk".

No, there's no discount like that. That would basically be a rail pass, but the version for Italy tops out at 8 days of travel within a month. If you were a regular commuter on fast trains, then they have loyalty cards for that; see http://www.trenitalia.com/tcom-en/Offers. For your longer trips, advance-purchase discounts will work and for shorter trips, regional train tickets are already cheap.

Trenitalia has a couple of programs, carta Freccia is one but I don't know if that's what you need. They also have a "carnet" offer, but I have never used it. Translate their site into English (British flag icon), translated instructions are clear.
