We'll be in Tuscany when they have this annual religious festival in Lucca and I'm wondering if it would be worthwhile for us to visit Lucca on the first evening of the festival on September 13.
The descriptions sounds interesting. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions about this?

Tom, I don't know about this festival but we spent several nights in Lucca last June (we rented an apartment) and found it to be a delightful town. Loved all the trees, the pedestrian-friendly aspect, and walking/running/biking the walls.
