I will be visiting Florence in June, would like to take a day bus trip to Volterra, after reading all the twilight books about vampires, that are set in Volterra, my niece would like to go visit those spots. does anyone know of such tours from Florence

While there are no such organized tours that I know of, I'm sure that any car and driver service could take you there as a day trip, or you could simply train it on your own (http://www.trenitalia.it)

Just so you know: while the scenes in the book are set in Volterra, the movies are being filmed in Montepulciano.

My first trip to Rome came right after I finished reading Angels and Demons. The book was brand new and there were no formal tours of the sites, but I want to see all the places and art mentioned in the book and to walk "the walk". My mom said she would block off a half a day and I could be the tour guide. It was a wonderful experience; I found all the places I wanted to see, researched the sites, and planned the tour. I learned a lot more about the art and churches than I would have if we had just taken a tour.
You might want to have your niece plan the tour herself.
